App Prototype Development

Testing

When it came to testing I decided to go with the approach that proved to be successful in the past of not telling those I shared the prototypes with what the intended purpose of the prototype was. The intention was to see how easily understood the prototype was by having those judging relay back to me what they interpreted the purpose was. Without worrying that I influenced the interpretation and criticism given back to me.

Even though it was slightly tedious I sent each 'page' individually to build up a general overview of how the app will feel when in use. I intend for there to be a red and white colour palette that remains simplistic as seen above. With those, this prototype was tested with the app got an overwhelmingly positive response to how versatile the app could be in various situations such as the COVID-19 crisis which is currently occurring.

The app's contact list, statistics, alerts, audio updates, written updates and location status would give a well-rounded view of how a situation progresses and how it would affect them directly in the most accessible way.

Criticism came in the form of mostly the lack of explanation which can be rectified when creating the exact prototype, in my opinion through the icons on the overview page. Testing I believe was overall very successful in giving me direction on how this potential prototype of the app could be developed further in the final stages.
