Prototype sketch and testing

Prototypes Testing I tested these prototypes out on my family to see what they thought.  For the fist one they said. They liked how it was laid out and how they could immediately see what the pressing issues were.  They liked the fact that each topic had a rating on how serious each topic was but the colour system didn't work for them because it was too similar to the weather warning system. My mother suggested a numbering system.  I think a system related to volume would work well and go with the theme of Siren.  For the second one they said It didn't work because they couldn't immediately see what was a pressing issue and only the amount of issues in each category  My sister preferred the cleanliness of this one.  For the last one They liked the idea of how far away they could choose they area of effect to be. They liked the overall design of it.  Questions they had They were wondering how much information would be gathere

App Prototype Development Testing When it came to testing I decided to go with the approach that proved to be successful in the past of not telling those I shared the prototypes with what the intended purpose of the prototype was. The intention was to see how easily understood the prototype was by having those judging relay back to me what they interpreted the purpose was. Without worrying that I influenced the interpretation and criticism given back to me.  Even though it was slightly tedious I sent each 'page' individually to build up a general overview of how the app will feel when in use. I intend for there to be a red and white colour palette that remains simplistic as seen above. With those, this prototype was tested with the app got an overwhelmingly positive response to how versatile the app could be in various situations such as the COVID-19 crisis which is currently occurring.  The app's contact list, statistics, alerts, audio updates, wri

Research- ncov2019.live

NCOV2019 This is a website that a 17 year old develops that accurately tracks the number of cases, deaths and recoveries from corona virus. It shows the stats of every pace in the world and for the USA it gives stats for each state.  These numbers update every minute which is very impressive.  Design The design of the website is friendly enough at a glance especially with the amount of information.  At the top of the page it gives you a "Quick Facts" section that lets you see the world wide amount of cases, deaths and recoveries.  Then you can find a specific country and go to the continent it is in then either scroll down and look for it or search it in the search bar. This will show you all the info you need and any thing different that happened today.    I think we could learn a lot from the implementation of this website.  https://ncov2019.live/data
